Working Principle
The reactor is initially charged with the required raw materials, which could include liquids, solids, or gases.To initiate or sustain the chemical reaction, the temperature inside the reactor is carefully controlled.A jacketed design surrounds the reactor with a chamber through which heating or cooling fluids (such as steam, water, or thermal oil) are circulated.Pressure relief valves ensure that the reactor doesn't exceed safety limits.Inside the reactor, an agitator (mixing device) rotates at controlled speeds to ensure proper mixing of reactants, facilitating uniform heat distribution and better contact between the chemicals.As the materials react, the system continuously monitors key parameters such as temperature, pressure, and composition via sensors. These parameters are fed into a control system that can automatically adjust heating, cooling, or agitation rates to maintain ideal reaction conditions.Advanced reactors are equipped with automation and control systems that monitor variables like: Temperature,Pressure,pH levels (for biochemical processes),Concentration of reactants and products,Once the reaction has reached the desired completion point, the reaction is either stopped or allowed to continue in a controlled manner (especially in continuous reactors).The final product is then discharged through outlet valves.
